NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU prices rise in Europe, inventory is mostly sold out

The NVIDIA Ada Lovelace series is well supplied in most parts of the world, especially in mid-range and mid to high end products. On the other hand, the flagship GPU RTX 4090 does not seem to be as well supplied as other GPUs, at least in some parts of the world. According to the latest report, most suppliers seem to want to sell this GPU, and inventory in the European region is basically sold out.

According to reports, many retail stores in Germany are selling this GPU at prices higher than the manufacturer's suggested retail price. The supply of RTX 4090 looks average as usual. Monitoring data on GPU prices over the past year shows that the current price of RTX 4090 has increased by 25%.

On August 20th last year, the average retail price of RTX 4090 in Germany was 1590-1670 euros, but it rose to 1950-2100 euros in November of the same year. The price has indeed fallen, but it is still higher than before, between 1750 and 1900 euros. The RTX 4090 on other retail websites such as Caseking and Mindfactory is priced at 2304 euros and 2668 euros respectively, with a significant increase in price.

Although the RTX 4090 inventory seems to be the same as before, it is expected that the GPU will soon be out of stock. Recently, there have been rumors that the RTX 4090 and RTX 4090D will be discontinued, while the NVIDIA RTX 50 series Blackwell gaming GPU is preparing for release.

The RTX 4090 is expected to be discontinued in October, which may lead to an increase in its price. With the launch of Blackwell, RTX 5090 and RTX 5090D will replace RTX 4090 and RTX 4090D, respectively. These will become the flagship GPUs of the series, with the RTX 5090D specifically designed for the Chinese market.

According to the latest leaked news, Nvidia completed the final design of some high-end RTX 50 series GPUs in September, including RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs, which are reportedly more power consuming than their predecessors. The RTX 4090 is currently the fastest gaming GPU available, but Nvidia may no longer continue producing it as the RTX 5090/5090D will provide audiophiles with better options. The RTX 50 series GPU is expected to be released by the end of 2024 or early 2025.
