According to statistics, the output value of Taiwan, China's semiconductor industry reached NT $1.38 trillion in the third quarter, up 9% month on month. It is expected that the output value in the fourth quarter will continue to rise, approaching NT $1.48 trillion, up 6.9% from the third quarter. The annual output value will reach NT $5.3 trillion, up 22%.
As the supply chain inventory level declined and entered the traditional peak season, the output value of Taiwan, China's semiconductor industry in the third quarter rose to 1.38 trillion yuan. Among them, the IC manufacturing industry performed the best, with a month on month growth of 11.1%, reaching NT $896.5 billion. During the same period, the output value of the IC packaging industry reached NT $111.4 billion, an increase of 9% compared to the previous period. The output value of the IC testing industry was NT $50.5 billion, an increase of 4.3% compared to the previous period. The output value of the IC design industry was NT $325.6 billion, an increase of 4.2% compared to the previous period.
It is expected that the output value of IC manufacturing, design, packaging and testing industries in the fourth quarter is expected to grow at the same time. The overall output value of Taiwan, China semiconductors will approach 1.48 trillion New Taiwan Dollars, an increase of 6.9% over the third quarter.
Previously, Taiwan, China's total semiconductor output this year will reach NT $5.3 trillion, up 22%; The output value of the IC manufacturing industry is expected to grow by 27.5%, the IC design industry will grow by 16.5%, the IC packaging industry will grow by 8.6%, and the IC testing industry will grow by 5.2%.
People in the semiconductor industry pointed out that TSMC benefited from strong demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and strong shipments of 5nm and 3nm. The fourth quarter's revenue is expected to grow by about 13% month on month, and this year's dollar revenue will grow by nearly 30%, which is the biggest driving force for Taiwan, China's fourth quarter and this year's rising output value.
